Only insane persons are going to risk their lives because of texting while driving. You should concentrate on the road and not on texting because you will be prone to accidents.

what’s up with all of these? there’s a hand’s free device and people seems to not like using it. but of course, texting while driving is meant for idiots who want to risk a life in a matter of letters. banning phones in a car will also not help but at least it will minimize…

Drivers texting on their phones seems to be more common and just as dangerous if not moreso than making a phone call. Its normally obvious when driving behind someone who is driving too slow, or erratically. The punishments need to be more harsh to stop this dangeropus habit.

Driving whilst on a cell phone is probaly worse than drink driving as your concentration is not on the road it is on the phone this is a very dangerous act not just to the person on the phone but other road users

The issue of driving and cell phones has become a prominent one. For driver’s safety it is advisable not to use cell phones when driving. But who is following it. I usually switch off mobile phones while driving and dont ever care of who is calling when it is switched off, if it is a VIP too.

Driving while talking on the phone can be dangerous. I think its a good thing that many states now have a handsfree driving policy, and drivers talking on phones can face fines. This should save some lives, although there is research showing that its the distraction of talking on phones that causes accidents, not the physical holding of the phone.

I wish more places would ban driving while talking on your cell phone. I can’t tell you how many wreck less drivers I see on a daily basis who are on their cell phone.

Wade, it would be great and I feel solve the problem of texting while driving if bluetooth came standard in all vehicles sold in the US. I know there are software programs out there like Dragonfly that converts speech to text. Let’s hope that they add that software when bluetooth is installed. Thanks for posting!
